National Entertainment Group Performs at the Arkansas State Veterans Home

(Little Rock) The entertainment group Re-Creation USA performed a spectacular show at the Arkansas State Veterans Home on the morning of April 9th. Before and after the show the young men and women visited with the veterans shaking hands and signing photographs. The group tours the country performing at veteran’s homes, VA hospitals and military installations. “The auditorium was filled to capacity”, the home’s director Albert Wilson said. “It’s the first time that they’ve ever seen Re-creation USA performance groupanything like this.  It looked like a show you would see in Branson”.  Veterans were amazed by the talent and professional stage presence the show had.  Resident B. W. said, “It brought a tear to my eye. The performers were outstanding”.  Members sang and danced throughout the audience giving the veterans and staff a feeling of being right in the midst of all the action. Veteran Don Martin said, “It was beautiful. I don’t know how you could beat it as a show. I was really carried away with it.” The production was no small fete according to Wilson. They brought large cases of equipment, props and costumes conducting several changes throughout the show. The arrangements and visuals all combined to bring an exciting experience for the residents. Many wanted to know when they would come back. Resident Gene Crunkleton said, “The veterans really enjoyed it.” The group also performed later that night at the Little Rock VA Hospital.
