Arkansas State Veterans Home Receives Donations for New Library
(Little Rock) The Arkansas Department of Veterans Affairs recently accepted a donation from the American Legion Foundation to buy computers and printers for the newly established library at the
Arkansas State Veterans Home. Donations have been received from several individuals and veterans organizations over the last few months to be used for furnishings and library items. The library will be named in memory of Grady
Brown, former ADVA director. His wife Mable, member of the State Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, is a volunteer at the Home donating her time and efforts to better serve the residents. Residents will now have access to the computer learning stations to complete online course work, send emails to loved ones, or simply browse the internet. The library will also be a repository for books and DVDs which can be checked out by the residents.
