Arkansas State Veterans Home Raises American Flag Flown in Iraq
(Little Rock) On Saturday, October 27, 2007 the Arkansas State Veterans
Home raised an American flag flown in Iraq. The flag was given to Association who had earlier in the month
held their 1st Annual Poker Run. They also presented the Home with $350 that
was raised
during the Run. The money was used to buy the residents steaks and have a
cook-out.
The flag had been flown over the U. S. Army Materiel Command Compound, JLSE MNF-W, T
Mr. Albert Wilson, Administrator of the Home, by the Combat Vets Q, Al Anbar Province, Iraq on September 11, 2007. The residents
were incredibly grateful for the opportunity to raise the flag. It is
now in a frame
and on display inside the Arkansas State Veterans Home in Little Rock.
